LookPrompter
A teleprompter that sits right under your Mac's camera, so you can read your script and still look people in the eye.
What it does
- Shows your script under the camera notch, or at the top centre of a display without one.
- Scrolls at your pace. Rest the pointer on it to pause; scroll with two fingers to move.
- Hotkeys work while your meeting app is in front.
- Asks macOS to keep the prompter out of screen sharing and recordings. In the apps tested, people watching don't see it; check yours once before an important call.
- Saves your scripts on your Mac as you type. No account, no tracking.
Support
Questions, problems or ideas: a support email address is coming soon. With any question, please include your macOS version and, for screen-sharing questions, the app you share with.
Frequently asked
The people on my call can see the prompter. Hiding depends on how each app captures the screen. Tell us which app and how you share (whole screen or one window), and try the other way in the meantime.
Where are my scripts? On your Mac only, in LookPrompter's own folder. They're saved as you type, with a backup.
Which Macs does it work on? Any Mac with macOS 26 or later. On a MacBook with a notch, the prompter hangs from it; elsewhere it sits at the top centre.
